About Starfish Collective

We are a charity organization based in Dunedin, New Zealand, dedicated to helping individuals in trauma one person at a time.
 

We work to resettle refugees in New Zealand through the Refugee Community Sponsorship Programme. This includes sponsoring refugee families, securing and furnishing rental homes, arranging internal flights, and supporting individuals fleeing persecution.

The charity has also been active in assisting LGBTQ+ individuals from countries where they face severe persecution, violence, and even death for their sexual orientation.

Through fundraising events and community support, The Starfish Collective provides both practical assistance and ongoing support to help refugees settle comfortably in their new home and rebuild their lives in safety.
